I found this treasure on Pinterest not too long ago and made it just last night.

I was craving delicious chocolate, but my husband was full and did not want a treat, so together we made just me a treat! :) He is the best.
I did not add the chocolate spread (it would have been Nutella if I did) on the top because I was in the mood for vanilla ice cream on the top! It took only about 45 seconds in my microwave and tasted great with the ice cream on top!
However, I would not say this is the most moist mug cake I have ever tried. Without the ice cream it would have been pretty dry. I guess that's why you need the chocolate spread added in before you cook it.
But this recipe is a keeper! Thank you http://www.tablefortwoblog.com!

Copycat Chick-fil-A Sandwich Recipe Review
I love finding recipes online that look delicious! I usually find them through Pinterest and so I just Pin them to my Recipes board to try later. You can find this board on my Pinterest page.
I pinned this recipe a few weeks back:
http://www.raininghotcoupons.com/copycat-chick-fil-sandwich/
and finally got around to trying it out. The recipe calls for pickle juice to marinate the chicken in...and I hate to admit it, but I had to call my mom from the grocery store and ask her if they sell pickle juice or if you have to buy a jar of pickles and take out the pickles to use the juice. Am I the only one who would have thought they sell pickle juice by itself?! My mom thought it was a great question :)
But I ended up getting a jar of pickles and throwing them out (my husband and I HATE pickles).
The recipe turned out great though! I would personally marinate the chicken for less time than the recipe calls for, but that's just because we don't love the taste of pickles. But Chick-fil-A sandwiches have that taste, and we always thought it was because the sandwiches came with pickles on them. Maybe they marinate their chicken in pickle juice first! Who knows. I used vegetable oil instead of peanut oil for the frying just because that is all I had at the time. But they actually tasted just like the restaurant's sandwiches. Delicious! I was impressed with the recipe and my cooking for getting them to turn out correctly.
I will be cooking these in the future and printed out the recipe to use again.

DIY Chalkboard
I wanted a cute chalkboard for my kitchen/living room, but didn't want to spend $50. I looked at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Kirkland home store, Kohls, Target, etc for one, but they were all too expensive for my taste. So I decided that my husband and I could make one.
I purchased an old window frame from a garage sale that had a vintage look to it. They had a few, some with glass in them and some without. I made it easier for us by buying one ($4) that was already empty, but if you can't find an empty one it would not be too hard to take out the glass.
I cleaned the dirt off it and sanded the edges so we wouldn't get slivers.
We measured it and then headed to Home Depot. They sell boards of chalkboard in the wood section that are 2 feet x 4 feet. Ask a worker and they will cut it down to the size you want. Ours was 2x2' so they cut it to fit perfectly. We also purchased picture tacks from Michaels that would hold it in place on the back.
This picture shows the tacks we used (installed by using a flat head screwdriver and pushing with our muscles :) )

Damaged Hair?
When I was in high school I was very self-conscious about my looks, especially my hair. I thought I had to straighten it every time I washed it so that I wouldn't have curly side hairs sticking out. My hair would dry partly curly/straight/wavy. It is just a mess when I let it air-dry. So every night or every other night when I would shower, I would blow dry my hair and then straighten it. What I was NOT noticing was that I was damaging my hair...badly!
I still can't believe none of my sisters nor my mother told me about what was happening. My hair began way past my shoulders when I started high school. When I finished, my hair had several layers, many that were above my shoulders. About a year out of high school, all of my hair was above my shoulders, without ever getting a haircut.
Here is a picture that was taken almost exactly a year after I graduated from high school. It was the shortest my hair had ever been besides when I was very little. This was due to HEAT DAMAGE....
There are several blogs out there that warn about styling your hair every day. I never believed them and thought that hair could only get shorter by cutting it. Boy, was I wrong! Because I was so into blow drying and straightening my hair, I was damaging it every time from the heat without even realizing it. I hardly ever let my boyfriend see me with my natural hair, so I just thought I had to have it straight whenever I was with him. Another thing I was wrong about: he loves me no matter how my hair is (we got married years later and I hardly ever have my hair down straight).
Blow dryers put out such hot and forceful heat that is bad for your hair. I've learned from many hairstylists that you should never use a blow dryer on high heat, NEVER. I use mine on low heat but on high speed. This way it does not get hot enough to burn or damage my hair. I never want to go back to hair that has damaged and split ends, that falls off in inches at a time, and that gives itself layers!
So how did I fix my horrible hair? I researched all different kinds of products, talked to friends that are hairstylists, and went in to salons to see what they suggested. The end result? Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask.
It is quite pricy, at $46 for an 8.5oz bottle. However, I purchased mine off Amazon for cheaper. It is SO worth it though!!!
You lather it all over your wet/damp hair at the beginning of your shower (wait about ten minutes by washing your face, shaving your legs, etc) and then rinse it out. It makes your hair feel amazing and somehow heals your damaged ends. It strengthened all of my hair and made it feel thick again. It took about a month or two of using it in every other shower I took. My hair was feeling healthier and I learned to let my hair air dry since this was much better for it. I also learned to take advantage of the curl in my hair and wear it with its natural curl once in a while. I use Bumble & Bumble's Curl Conscious Foam. It makes the top layer of my hair that never wants to curl hold a wave!
After using the hair mask for about six months, my hair was back to its normal self. It was of course still short, but it was able to grow finally! Every time now that I use a heat tool (curling iron, blow dryer, straightener, crimper) on my hair I always spray it first with CHI Iron Guard. This can be purchased at just about any store. I'm sure there are other brands than Moroccan Oil, Bumble & Bumble, and CHI of these kinds of products, but these are just what I have found to work the best. I have tried the knockoff brands and they just don't do the trick.
Learn to put your hair in braids, buns, or ponytails. Let it air dry the majority of the time! I only blow dry my hair now about once a week and always use my Iron Guard spray. Lately everyone has been telling me how long and healthy my hair looks. That is what I want to hear!
